Julie Chen Moonves, who was one of the initial hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award award-winning talk show), returned to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd episode. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she began writing her own show and won an Emmy. Also, she was awarded an Emmy for hosting and outstanding television talkshow. Between 2002 and 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Before that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the anchor for news for The Early Show. After 9/11 she went to Cairo for an informative and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She profiled celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Prior to joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a journalist at WDTN-TV dayton (1995-1997). She also worked for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. As a desk assistant in the ABC News late night broadcast Nightline, she worked with Ted Koppel. He remains one her heroes in journalism. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel in the Columbia du-Pont-nominated primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
